Anhand zahlreicher Details und mit vielen Abbildungen wird der Prozess der Entwicklung einer einzigartigen hybriden Baba-Nyonya-Kultur überzeugend dargestellt und erklärt, wie dieser die Grundlage für eine vergleichsweise konfliktfreie Existenz der chinesischen Bevölkerungsmehrheit in Penang bildet.
