Summary

Many crocheters are a little intimidated by thread crochet, but this DVD shows that there's no reason to be. With the right instruction, anyone can learn how to crochet beautiful thread pieces, including filet crochet, that will be treasured for generations to come. Expert crocheter Susan Lowman has taught classes around the country and has had more than 150 original designs published. Learn from her expertise as she demonstrates and explains crochet threads, crochet hooks, reading symbol crochet charts, filet crochet, blocking thread crochet, and easy towel edging. Practice your newfound skills by crocheting beautiful thread projects—including Seed Stitch Bookmark, V-Stitch Bookmark, Flower Pin and Appliqué, Star Light Filet Crochet, Easy Elegance Necklace and Earrings, and Beginner's First Doily—all exclusively designed by Susan for this introduction-to-thread crochet class. Supplies needed to complete the projects are cotton thread sizes 5 and 10, crochet hooks size 0 and 7, a tapestry needle, a sewing needle, rust-proof straight pins, cardboard, pin backs, fabric glue, a hand towel, ribbon, a jewelry clasp, and earring wires. Discover the timeless elegance of thread crochet today; you'll love every minute of this soothing and exquisite technique.
