The soap opera (or "novela" in Spanish) format of this video course in Spanish is both culturally authentic and engaging. While the story is a little slow moving, the videos were filmed in Spanish-speaking countries all over the world, and are enjoyable to watch. Best used in conjunction with the workbook and the video series (available in free streaming format on Annenberg's web site at learner dot org).
