I wish I had this information when I was younger and I am glad I read it. It got me thinking about my personal values and learning a few new things as well. I suggested this textbook for people that are not even taking the class just because of how knowledgeable this text is. This copy was in great shape for being a used textbook, great for the money; I will do business with you in the future.

Summary

For undergraduate courses in Human Sexuality, Marriage and Family, Intimate Relationships, Love and Intimacy With an interpersonal focus, Hock's Human Sexuality emphasizes the choice, awareness and responsibility that is integral to a planned, proactive, and well educated sexual philosophy. Using an interpersonal, psycho social foundation that approaches core content from a student perspective, this text focuses on the topics that are most critical and of greatest relevance to the students' diverse personal lives and their interactions with others. Written in a casual, easy to read, conversational style that will help them be more comfortable with and more connected to the course material, Roger Hock encourages and challenges students to consolidate the ideas and knowledge gained from the text into the growth of his or her personal sexual philosophy.

Human Sexuality encompasses far more than "just sex." Sexuality is fundamental to our identities as humans and it is a complex and multi-faceted subject. More than likely, you already have ideas developed around some of the topics contained within this text. You may have questions about information you've received from the media, or friends, or from prior sex education. Perhaps you are struggling with thoughts or feelings about your own sexual identity. With an emphasis on choice, awareness, and responsibility, Roger R. Hock's Human Sexuality will provide you with information and knowledge that you can apply and use for the rest of your life.

‘’I find Roger Hock's textbook to be the most up-to-date, the most thoroughly researched and visually pleasing of all the Human Sexuality textbooks.’’-Gina Marie Piane CA State U, Long Beach
