I used this textbook to find a straightforward explanation of table partitioning, which I was getting ready to implement for the first time in a data warehouse environment, and was impressed with the explanation and the examples that followed. The authors of this textbook have done a very impressive job of getting as much data into this textbook without sacrificing relativity. I was very pleased with the structure and flow of the textbook. This textbook is highly recommended for everyone, from beginners to intermediate to expert level users of MS sql.
