It was a great textbook to relate to, because it was so real, it was like you could put yourself in the story. I would like to see this textbook made into a movie. The author makes you feel the character's pain and suffering. I would recommend this textbook to anyone. My favorite part was really the whole textbook! It had great insight. It always had me at the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next. I believe this is a cheap textbook worth reading!

Summary

A Harlem drugstore owner was shot and killed in his store, and the word is that 16-year-old Steve Harmon served as the lookout. Was he involved or was he simply in the wrong place at the wrong time? An amateur filmmaker, Steve transcribes his trial into a movie script, showing scene by scene how his life was turned around in an instant.

"Myers grapples with complex moral questions that will definitely make readers stop and think."- Booklist, Editors' Choice 1999

"Myers combines an innovative format, complex moral issues, and an intriguingly sympathetic but flawed protagonist in this cautionary tale of a 16-year-old on trial for felony murder." - Booklist
