Had to have this book for my freshman psychology class. Found it really useful for writing papers. I bought the book so I will probably hold on to it for next semester too.

Summary

The Sixth edition of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association is a tremendously helpful “style manual” for writers, students, teachers and editors in the social and behavioral sciences. It guides readers through the writing process in a way that anyone can understand, also covering other significant issues such as the ethics of authorship and word choice that decreases bias in language. The Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association also covers the basics such as headings, tables, figures, and tone, and includes an easy-to-use reference and citation system. It should be considered the gold-standard in scientific communication. A myriad of topics have been added or expanded on in the sixth edition, giving students and teachers the most current information protruding to elegant, scientific communication. The American Psychological Association is a scientific and professional organization based in Washington D.C. It includes more than 154,000 members, making it the largest association of psychologists internationally.
